Dr. Gary G. Wiesman is known for his 25 years of expertise in the field of Otolaryngology & Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Recently joining the practice is his son Irvin M. Wiesman, M.D., a third generation of medical practitioner. We now have the balance of youth and enthusiasm with the backing of wisdom and years of experience.

In addition to a father and son team, we are now able to encompass all areas of Cosmetic & Reconstructive Surgery as well as the cutting edge of ablative and non-ablative laser and skin care rejuvenation technology.

Dr. Irvin M. Wiesman

Dr. Irvin M. Wiesman is a Chicago native. He did his medical school training at the University of Illinois in Chicago and then completed five years of General Surgery at St. Joseph’s Hospital, a Northwestern University Affiliate.

Following his general surgery training, Dr. Wiesman went on to complete a Hand and Microvascular Surgery fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis. He then finished his Plastic Surgery training at SUMMA Health Systems in Akron, Ohio.

Dr. Wiesman has presented many papers throughout the country, and he has been published in peer reviewed journals and book chapters. He is currently involved with teaching residents in Chicago-area training programs.

Dr. Irvin M. Wiesman joined his father, Dr. Gary G. Wiesman, in private practice in July 2003. Between the two, they have experience in facial, cosmetic, and breast surgery, body contouring, head and neck surgery/reconstruction, general reconstructive surgery, and hand and microvascular surgery.

Dr. Irvin M. Wiesman has a special interest in ablative and non-ablative skin rejuvenation. In order to pursue an advancement in this field, the Wiesman Medical Spa was opened in June of 2004.
